Helping students fulfill their dreams

Dawson College established the Dawson College Foundation in 2006 to provide support to students directly and indirectly through our awards and scholarships program and by funding innovative initiatives that enrich every Dawson student’s life.

Faculty and staff are justifiably proud of the College’s accomplishments as a vital part of the Montreal community, educating the young and not so young, and preparing thousands of people for the next phase of their lives, be it university or the workplace.

At Dawson, good students make for good citizens

For 50 years, we have stood firm in our belief that every student deserves a chance, and our dedicated faculty and staff remain committed to providing a rich education both in and out of the classroom. Our philosophy is to educate the student as a whole person, so that our graduates are not only good students, they are good citizens.

All of Dawson’s activities enrich student life, but some are more difficult to fund under traditional government funding formulas. These para-academic initiatives often need to find alternate funding sources. These include projects that involve student travel for competitions (sports and para-academic, such as our prize-winning Model UN team) and events such as visual arts vernissages. The Foundation looks for support from the internal and external community to supplement resources so that no valid project goes unfunded.
